In need of some feedback   January 26, 2013 - 9:31AM
So I finally decided that today would be the day I work on Ivy's story. I've been procrastinating and giving myself enough selfish time. Its time to actually start working towards my end goal of having a successful webcomic!

But I need some feedback first.

What would you (my lovely readers) like to see first?

I can either a) Re-work the first few pages of Ivy's story and make the characters look up to date/better

OR b) keep it the way it is and start working on new material. *sparkle sparkle*

I suppose there is a the third option of doing BOTH... but I'd rather not. (don't make me do it!! Please, have mercy!! *sob*)

So what would you like to see first? Edited version of the first three pages, or some new pages (that will break off TWF stuff) and start it's own story arc?

One Small Step...   January 12, 2013 - 12:54PM
Okay guys, here it is. The thing I've been working on for the past couple of months. I'd really appreciate it if you could just check out.

CreativeGraphicNovelist.com <-- CLICK PLEASE!! :-D

I try and update every other week, and I have been recently doing articles on comics I enjoy, and inspirational things that keep me drawing. I plan on holding give-a-ways to the person who can leave the most comments, and other things of that nature, so please check it out! I wont be holding these types of contests anywhere else, so definitely keep coming back, mkay?

I'll be honest with you guys, this website wont be always permanent. This was a really good opportunity, and it kinda fell in my lap. So I took it, and am learning how to maintain a website and all the ins-and-outs of owning a URL name. It's been extremely educational! But my main goal...

I plan on getting a website with a place I found called Xepher.net. I want to start an online webcomic, featuring my Viridae and that world. The story keeps getting bigger and bigger in my head and I want to tell it before I get old and forgetful or something. I'd post semi regularly, make wallpapers and things like that. (heck. maybe even open a store.)
And on the side, I'd have another webcomic, featuring more personal and every day type things. It'd be my comic-blog, so to speak. I'd focus all of my energy on these two things, if I could make it work out.

Unfortunately, I can't make it work right now. As I am the only source of income in my little family, all commission money that I've received has had to go straight into bills, and my current website, and small emergencies. I'd really love to put all of the money I've made straight back into my career, and maybe even buy myself a better tablet and more reliable computer. But that's really far into the future, seeing as of right now I still how a few debts to pay off before I can start trying to start any other website.

So, with that in mind, I'm going to start really advertising my commission work!
Please consider Commissioning Me! I can get sketches done usually within the day, and will be willing to work in any piece you have in mind! Any bit helps, especially if all you can do it comment, and share this journal with others you know are looking for an artist to commission!

Thanks everyone! Wish me luck!

Best Christmas Ever   December 28, 2012 - 10:25PM
My sister got my Scott Pilgrim Vs The World
Not the movie
THE COMIC BOOK
IN ALL OF ITS COLORED GLORY

(fun fact: Scott Pilgrim vs The World is actually vol. 2 out of the 6 vol. series)

(another fun fact: I know I don't have the first one yet, but I've already read the whole thing, so its not so bad. Also, reading the second one before the first one is kinda amazing. I love Kimberly Pine so much. Why is her story so tragic ;^; Kim I just aaah)

(also, I keep finding myself talking/thinking in Scott Pilgrim humor and mannerisms. Bryan Lee O'Malley you genius)

I can't explain how happy I am right now.

Hey check out breezantines!!   December 6, 2012 - 10:22PM
Hello Nabyn! Long time no see, eh? Well, I'd like to apologize for that.
I've had my childhood friend come visit me for a week, and we've been having a grand ol' time! Playing games and going shopping and getting ready for Christmas. And I'm also going back to her place for a Wedding of our mutual friend! I'm loving it!

And drawing. I've been drawing like a mad man lately. I have The Worlds Forge ending this month, and also Dog Eat Dog World starting at the same time. And on top of being apart of these two contests, I've started my own blog/website that I want to work on, a web comic I want to get started up, and also quite a few gifts/guest works for people.

WHAT AM I DOING WHY DO I DO THIS TO MYSELF AAA

though, I've worked it out now, and I can complete 3 pages a day starting tomorrow, then I will finish a week before my deadline.
WISH ME LUCK HURRR

I suppose, I just wanted to put up a journal to explain that I'm still alive, still watching all of the lovely art, and still loving all of my watchers. Thanks for all of your support and things :')

ALSO IN REFERENCE TO MY TITLE, I invited Breezantines to Nabyn, and she joined! Check her out and give her loves -- she definitely deserves it!

"Comicstrip's Comic Writing Month"   November 3, 2012 - 11:25AM
I've been thinking about this November challenge, "Finish Your Novel" thing.

I'm not into writing novels, exactly. But! I do have a lot of stories that need to be told by the end of this year. And maybe this is what I need to help get my head start...

So! I am officially challenging my self all comic artists out there to "Finish Your Comic!"

By the end of this (November of 2012) month, you need to have completed at least 400 panels towards your comic. (If you do the math, that's about 15 panels a day.)

Now, with my history of writing comics, I usually can hold about 10-15 panels per page, depending on what the page is containing... I figure that these numbers are both challenging and realistic (at least, it is for me)

I've got 2 major comic projects this month, my "The Worlds Forge" entry and also my "Dog Eat Dog" contest audition. These are both due in Dec, and I want to be able to get some good distance on both...

So kill SUPPORT me! This month shall be incredibly productive! ~

Also, random tangent,

I saw in my local comic/game store the "Scott Pilgrim Vol. 1, Color Edition" in all of its colored, hard-back, $24.50 glory....

I can't stop thinking about it
