Yes, this is an old one, from last year actually.
A picture I was quite proud of, took me forever after all. What I've never been satisfied with, was the scan quality, though. Even more so now, that I have a new monitor and see many things in the proverbial new light. So I finally sat down again with the pic and my good ol' Epson scanner, tweaked some of the settings and suddenly... the crisp colors I was looking for. I sent the old one to minor gallery, for comparison. http://www.nabyn.com/art/jamal-44686 |

Attics can be wondrous places, especially if you're a kid. Dark, dusty and packed with obsolete stuff, most of if long forgotten. And maybe, between all of that trash, a box with something marvelous...

"... After all you will make me rich, woofy!"
Well, I don't know the back story, but whatever this cat has in mind, I somehow doubt the wolf would agree to any of it. Also, I think this qualifies as a life sign! Sorry for my absence lately. Another bad case of artist block, in other terms: everything like always -,- |

Cheer up!
I couldn't sleep last night, so finished this one instead. I think the outcome was worth it. If someone is interested in the pencils, I put them into my sketchbook: http://www.nabyn.com/sketchbook.php?id=1390 |

A picture that borders on NSFW, because I know exactly what hes thinking right now ^_^
Its a more refined version of this old sketch: http://www.nabyn.com/sketch_full.php?image=2012/6/29/Prof-19049.jpg |

This is actually some weeks old, I forgot to upload it here -,-
Winter is here and what's prof drawing? Well, somewhere on the globe it's always summer ^_^ A quasi-followup of this one: http://www.nabyn.com/art/this-sense-of-foreboding---45202 |

Guest comic I did for Rick Griffin's wonderful webcomic Housepets! www.housepetscomic.com
I would've posted it earlier, but PC troubles prevented it *sigh* Well, better late than never. |

Yeah, I'm still alive. And still drawing (when I find time *sigh*). Well, this time I had the urge to to something a little more elaborate.
It's a shaman... kind of... I think he could be *cough*. Never got a opportunity to ask him; not even sure by which cultural sphere I should file him in. At least he has a nice singing voice, a shame you can't hear him perform. Enjoy watching him, how about that? ;) |

Just a little something I scribbled down on Feen Con in Bonn. I forgot to upload it.

SPLOOSH!

I have to admit this one's heavily photo referenced, and a few of you might actually know the original. But the theme was too cute to let it pass ^^

I think the title speaks for itself (that's what I'm hoping for; I couldn't come up with a good description *cough*).

Another quick, little picture. A chibi-fied version of my fursona watched by a random fox.
|
|
|
No randomly created character this time.
This is Alvin, the adopted brother of my oldest furry character, Casim http://www.nabyn.com/art/casim-44494 Apprentice illusionist and local knife throwing champion. It is a common practice of many families and clans around Newhaven to adopt people with special abilities to raise the groups status. And Alvins "weird talent" is a knack for illusion magic. So his adoption had nothing to do with sympathy or even love, it was a cold, calculated decision. Casim, not in the least content with his mother's prestige-driven addition to the family (and never asked for his opinion), had a rather strained relationship to his new brother in the beginning. It took time, a couple of awful arguments and a fair share of clouts from their cousin Bedewer until they started to get used to each other. Over the time they became good friends, even called each other brother. __________________ I don't like speed lines, but I had the impression the picture needed something to give it a bit more dynamic. So I experimented with watercolor pencils to turn the background into something like speed lines. The outcome surprised me, although it isn't quite what I imagined. Done with markers, watercolor pencils, colored pencils and gel pen. |

I guess that gut gives him a good center of gravity *cough*
... I feel the strange urge to rub his belly. oO |

I've drawn Casim a lot over the years (he's one of my oldest characters), but that's practivally the only picture of him I'm satisfied with.
I invented him about 19 years ago, long before I read the word "furry" for the first time, so he's more a fantasy character than a typical fur or even fursona. Also, he's protagonist of a heap of story fragments and one I actually finished (only in German language so far: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2101995/ ). A second one is still in the making (this one will be in English). So, here he is, ready to give someone a nasty surprise. |
