Map for Illustration 3! We were allowed to do a map of anything so long as it included illustration, so I picked New Caledonia because that's where my little crested gecko Gooby hails from. I've been using a new technique where I'll create ink drawings in real life and then scan them in, use the livetrace feature in Illustrator to isolate the lineart, and then finish the piece digitally, and it gets some great results. Nice blend of traditional and digital for me, I also created the watercolour textures I used on the piece so that was another nice way to incorporate my traditional work into it.

Designed an ipod case for my little sister as a Christmas gift. Rather pleased with how it turned out! Especially the background, I've gotten the hang of patterning things. Used a pineapple for inspiration for the design c:

commissioned RYNO for a new ungulate character and she came up with this really gorgeous design! He's an... elk I guess LMAO since that's what I use for anatomy reference. This is his winter coat, in the spring he sheds it and turns a bright golden/orange colour and loses some of his fluff. His coat darkens and he continues to shed during late summer/early fall, and then he sheds it and re-grows his winter fluff! He's also an antler-shifter, which is a lot of fun because it gives me some extra leeway in playing with his design haha <3
he needs a name yet though :I I am super bad at choosing names. Also, trying my hand at working with lineless! I've done it a few times in the past but have yet to really get the hang of it. We'll see where this takes me in the future. |
