Biography
Daughter of Otzu and Shijih, Yassai is the eldest daughter of the Dautu royal family. She resides within Muruka, living with her parents, her brother Dizu, and her sister Faeiya. Although Yassai is the oldest of the three Dautu children, she is not next in line to rule Muruka. She gave up her position in order to follow a path of being a priestess for her kingdom.
Yassai was gifted with the ability to read auras when she chose to walk the path of a priestess. She uses her ability to help soothe individuals who have been through traumatic events, taking it upon herself to help anyone who needs it. Yassai has to follow through with using her abilities to help others, or else she will be punished and have her eyesight taken away from her.
Yassai seems to have a fairly good relationship with her family, although she tends to butt heads with her younger brother often. Despite this, she often serves as an adviser to her brother to help prepare him for when he will eventually rule Muruka.

Personality
Yassai has a very mystic, wise air about her that gives the feeling that she knows more than what she lets others know about. Yassai is compassionate, and will often be very persistent when helping others, not giving up even if they don't want her help.
Yassai is not a fighter, preferring peace over any sort of fighting. She can be very diplomatic when she needs to be, thus making her quite capable of handling alliances with other races and kingdoms.

Abilities
Yassai was given a gift to read auras, which offers her a unique set of abilities that most Winglies do not have. Yassai can read emotions from auras, as well as catch glimpses of one's past or future, though her oath as a priestess prevents her from revealing specific details about one's future. When confronted with a troubled aura, Yassai can use magic to help soothe negative emotions and give the person a sense of peace.
Like all Dark Winglies, Yassai has exceptional night vision, although it is generally not needed since she is not a fighter. Yassai can use magic to defend herself, but many of her abilities are focused around helping others, not herself.
If Yassai is around a negative aura for a long period of time, and is unable to soothe it, she develops terrible headaches that tend to cause her abilities to go haywire, giving her a mix of visions of one's past and future that end up jumbled and unable to sort out.

Yassai was created in 2006.
World Information
The world is a mostly human-populated place, though other fantasy creatures such as elves, dragons, and many other unique races thrive. The technology of all the races have only advanced as far as the medieval era, and within the human population, magic is rare. Mages are not of common place, though are respected among the human communities.
Winglies and demons are of no friends to humans. While demons still roam the earth and terrorize the towns, Winglies are all but forgotten from those without magical heritage. Many dismiss the old legends by confusing the race as being angels, due to their demon fighting history. Only those who practice magic seem to remember what the Winglies are, and generally despise them.
Species History
Winglies are a race of magical winged creatures considered to be the first born beings to ever be in the world. At one time, all of the Winglies lived within one large, floating city that rested in the clouds. Much of their history was in taking care of the natural life of the world, as well as protecting the ground-walking species from demons. However, this changed when human mages launched an attack on the kingdom, causing the city to crash into the ground.
Divided from distrust among the race, the Winglies divided into six tribes based on their strongest elemental trait. The six tribes are Altelador (Light), Muruka (Dark), Hinoir (Fire), Oroni (Water), Koa (Wind), and Dynir (Earth).
5000 years after the splitting of the species, the kingdoms have not been fairing well. The Oroni kingdom has already crashed into the ocean, though the tribe still lives beneath the surface of the sea. The whole race is feeling the sting of a sudden decline in reproduction, their children becoming weaker and dying easier with each new generation. On top of all this, a civil war between Altelador and Muruka have divided up the Winglies even more, causing them to choose sides against one another, instead of living in isolation. All of these conflicts are slowly turning the species towards extinction, though many on the ground already believe these creatures no longer exist.
