Another Celtic-inspired knotwork commission for Teiirka. I was finally able to play around with the "sepia" style and as I suspected, it came out lovely and it was lovely to work on. This time around I didn't want too much convolutions in the figures themselves but instead focused on the knotwork created by the tails. There's actually a second border outside the one you see here but I sadly had to crop it out because the scanner glass was too small to scan all the way to the edges. Oh well.

I actually wasn't going for perfect symmetry of the tigers, since the one on the right is supposed to be male and the one on the left is female, hence slight intentional size differences of their heads.

Now that I have this piece finished, it's time to send all those commissions out! Done on 9x12 smooth white Bristol with sepia Microns, felt tip pen and a brown Tombow. Art copyright is jointly owned by myself and the commissioner.
Okay so I couldn't help but submit these guys tonight, since I'm pretty damn proud of them. Originally I was going to submit them in larger batches as I finished them but...I couldn't wait this time. So for once you guys won't have to suffer through a submission flood.

These are simply character portraits of Molly and Foley as they appear in a Shadowrun campaign we're in that my partner is running. Man I love playing mobsters in SR, heh. They're human changelings, which explains why they're mostly human looking, but not quite. They also apparently have a thing for film noir, even going so far as dressing in more classic vintage-style clothing in the year of 2070. Looks like they just can't get out of the Roaring 20s, no matter what setting they're in.

In the near future I'm going to open commissions for this style of portrait. This is the first time I have incorporated fineliners into my ballpoint work, and I quite like the result. Characters belong to myself and the significant other.
Second page of the reference for my spider Fae Nettle or "Nettie." This page primarily features her "glamour" form which she is usually in when talking to mortals and certain other individuals that might be less comfortable with her true form. She also takes this form when she's in the mood to wear clothes. She also exhibits the strange Fae aversion to exposed feet in this form and when not around other faeries will always cover them with long dresses.

Also a note on her chelicerae; she does not use them as a tool for eating like a normal spider but more uses them simply as offensive weapons by grabbing a hold of the offender from behind and poisoning them. Nettie, also unlike a true spider, eats solid food. She also hisses when giving this face. Submission marked mature for nudity and Fae butt.

Note from my previous submission: I know a ton of people get squicked out by spiders but honestly don't leave comments like "Eww a spider" on my page; comments like that are pointless. if you don't like it, don't click on it in the first place! :P

Done with Prismacolor markers, Tombow pens and a Pilot razor liner. 9x12. Character and art created by myself.
Nettle or "Nettie" as she is known to friends, is a close acquaintance of this lady here and jointly runs a magical tailor shop on Faerie with her. Nettie's colors and design are mainly inspired by the Green Bottle-Blue and Cobalt Tarantulas. I will say that I'm happy I've FINALLY made me a spider character. It was a long time coming, really...

A few tidbits of info for her:
~ Despite her close resemblance to a spider and the fact that she talks to them and can fully become one if she wishes, she is not simply an anthropomorphic tarantula but is a Fae.
~ Actually has two sets of spinnerets; one set at the end of her abdomen and the other set on the roof of her mouth. The latter she uses for defensive purposes by spitting envenomed web at foes.
~ Upper half of her body becomes progressively less human-like and more chitinous and spider-like farther down, hence her second set of arms looking different compared to her first.
~ Personality is cheeky, theatrical, shameless, blunt and flirtatious; she's also one of the most notorious rumormongers in the Faerie city of Tuanadaan. Has a thing for glam rock and psychobilly music.

I've found that all these references have actually made me quicker and more skilled in using markers in general; I'm more and more pleased with my results when using my Prismas and Tombows. Unfortunately I need to replace some of my older ones, as I found when working on this concept I had a couple dying on me. Fack. I also marked this as "partial nudity" mainly because I don't want to deal with nitpicking about boobs.

Also I know a ton of people get squicked out by spiders but honestly don't leave comments like "Eww a spider" on my page; comments like that are pointless. if you don't like it, don't click on it in the first place! :P

Done with Prismacolor markers, Tombow pens and some sundry other pens here and there. 9x12 Character and art created by me.
So if you didn't know, I've got a skull collection. I had been keeping them all at my uncles house but the garage that he was keeping them in was rained out and most of my skulls were destroyed. Like so bad that I could barely tell bone from newspaper. What I was left with is a decent enough portion of well intact skulls of about 10 and a larger number of skulls that need repair. My horse skull is my pride and joy and I'm glad he survived even with a new missing teeth. Now that I don't have as many skulls as before, I've been allowed to bring them home so they all reside in my room now on my desk.
i did this in biology class errr
Apparently old dogs don't learn new tricks and I've decided to enter Wynne in http://miss-oc-pageant.deviantart.com/

Name: Wynne Paula Cleaves
Age: 20
Occupation: Police Constable
Place of residence: Edmonton, North London, UK
Acquaintances: Best friends - PC Alan Fisher and PC Justin Case, admires DI Chauncey

Wynne is a cheerful awkward girl who's also a police officer. She loves her job, helping people, long walks, writing letters and having fish and chips in front of the telly. She is a little self-conscious and has no interest in pageants but her well-meaning (and male) colleagues mailed the application form for her for the laughs.

This happened purely because I needed something to do in order to kill time/let off steam a few days ago. The mask is a mix of a goat, a ganges river dolphin and a straptoothed whale a really obtuse way of representing capricorn. Hoorah.

Meet Ludwiczek (Louie). :D This is my old (very old) character. Few days ago I remembered him and made these sketches. Ludwiczek is little... brainless :D and all he can say is "Ik!". :P I hope you like it!
