After a art related rage fit and watching http://vantid.deviantart.com/ 's livestream I really wanted to draw a European lynx. Then I experimented with brushes in photoshop. For being my first time painting an entire picture in photoshop I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.

I had a little mini moment a few weeks ago where I relized a lot of my problem with digital paintings is the brush. I am always wanting for more texture and I have never used a rough brush for details... so I tried.

Other title: Land of Rage
Ive been wanting to get a concept of this land down for so long but never did due to my sad laziness :XD: Anyway this land has a history that I really wanted try and show. Like the title this land is called "Land of Rage" or "Hidden Hate" because of the fact that if one of the elemental guardian were to enter this land, for reasons unknown, they become easily angered and can go into a fit of rage. Because of this the land itself for a long time has show those scares. The mountains unnatural, the sea always turning violently, storms moving in and out of the area constantly, no heat or cold, whether day or night light and dark are switched. This place is hidden by fog from the land and storms from the sea. The guardians stay away from this land unless its for mental training. The land puts much stress on them and can be hard to control. Its rare for someone to seek this land because it reputation and how hard it is to find. One of the theory's to why the guardians become so angry here is that that this is where the first major fight between Mirage and the other guardian happened. Mirage him self wont comment on the subject. Im happy with how this concept came out but please comment or critique to help me get better! Art by DarkProtection! |

This got finished faster than I thought it would :3 Ive been wanted to get this idea down and finalized for a long time but when I think I go it a better idea would pop up and id though Id never finish. Note the far legs are not detailed on purpose. Im not good at explaining things but Ill do my best with this. This is a species commonly seen throughout Mirage and Kuras story and is used as a negative example about science explained by Kura.
Species name: Tropfoleon History: During a growth in genetic testing and scientific creation of animals for war this species was created and gave life. After many years of study 100 healthy creatures were created. But before the government was able to give the OK for mass production. A raid on the lab by a local rebel group ended up destroying the lab and freeing the creatures into the nearby forests. After the incident the remaining scientists announced to the government and public that the creatures where not made to live in the wild and would die out quickly or if found where to be shot on sight. To the surprise of many around half survived and even reproduced. This was due to camouflage and ability to adapt. As the number rose some of the poorer towns and villages merchants saw a new way of travel. Horses now where either too expensive to own, take care of or were born only for sport and meat. After years of hard work they were given an official name and breed by few as a new way of travel for merchants. Though these creatures arent fast like horses, they can put up far more of a fight. And for a traveling merchant can make a world of difference. Tropfoleon mouths are very similar to snakes except they carry a row of fangs that expand with the venom ones. They also have two sets of fangs that carry it instead of one. The venom itself is not meant to kill the pray but only paralyze it. Incidences have occurred where a child is killed by the venom but only due to how much was injected, overdosed. The 2 pairs of eyes are small and it has to tilt or move its head to see certain angles. Its legs have large sharp hooves that can cause a great deal of damage but is rarely used to protect itself. On its head are large and sharp scales that are used not only as camouflage but if one swings its head it could cause large damage. Though it takes a long time to tame a wild or captive Tropfoleon once tamed these creatures are known to be very loyal and protective as well as gentle. Most towns have at least one but larger towns have been seen to have at most 20. --------- Note this is a closed species so please do not draw without written permission. Yeaka by Rhavkoress
Yeaka is resting on his plain after a day of foraging. His tail wraps closely against his legs and the end twitches as he listens to the wind. No trees block the light in this land and he feels his sense could spread for an eternity. His wing grabs a boulder next to him and he pushes himself up with it to let the wind blow against his face and bring the smells of his territory to him.

Long time no dragons XD I didn't realize that it had been months sense I posted anything involved with dragons. Im going to try and make a short description lol. So here is Leetin the Guardian of Electricity. Ive made many different concepts on what Leetin looks like and never really like one till now. All of the other attempts he always looked younger than what he is and this time I focused on age more as well as what makes him stand out as the electric guardian.
Its hard to see here but on each side of his head he has 7 horns/spikes. His horns, claws, spikes on tail and wing talons are all silver colored. This is due to when he became of age to start training to be a guardian like all the other before him those spots where covered with natural silver. The silver conducts the electricity the best and helps keep a strong flow. He's the oldest of the current guardians and has lived through 3 generations of all of the other guardians(except Mirage). Despite his looks he's considered the strongest of them as well. When he travels he follows strong storms. When he needs to rest hes known to break/destroy the tips of mountains that are to steep or flat so he can rest as I tried to show here.
