I've been wanting to so something with tattoos FOREVER, and finally got inspired.
EDIT: The first version I put up here has been moved to my FA account's scraps. The head and composition were really bugging me, I should have been asleep 3 hours ago but I couldn't stop tweaking. Plus side, I'm happy with it now, at least enough to sleep. |

been doing this for almost the whole day yesterday and the whole morning today, to keep myself from doing anything else that might be stupid... Painting takes a hell lot of time...

I finally finished adjusting my profile layout so it is time to submit the image I mentioned before.
Realistic pokemon serie is quite well done and differes from any other of my paintings. I spend more time on each piece and I also do many preparations before each. I look for essence of the pokemon, for feeling that it gives me and I combine this with my biological knowledge. I consider this one picture as probably the best from all realistic starter pokemon I have done so far. Chikorita may be creative (creepy and cute at the same time like people says) but I wasn't sure about it skin so it ended with lazy scale-ish skin. Now I think that Chikorita should got more elephant-like sking. Cyndaquil is kinda lazy and I'm lame if comes to paint fur. But this one is really well done, from redesign to execution. Too bad that at the time I wasn't making reflective floors yet. Totodile also took the most time from all starters, I think 7 hours (while most my paitings takes no longer than 5 hours).
