Once upon a time, two people very bitter about their treatments at special ed and disability offices dreamed up the idea of a Dalek with a lazy eyestalk and a non-functional gun. Little did we know we were creating what is basically the Dalek version of Derpy Hooves.

I'm amazed this has just become a hit as much as it did. I was afraid some people would say it was offensive or whatnot, but I guess with Daleks it's really just hard to take anything seriously. Steve the Dalek has actually served for a stint as a mascot for my father's group at his workplace, and honestly, I probably still kind of owe my dad more art of Steve because he has grown to like him that much.

It's very hard to draw a lazy eyestalk, it just kind of more looks like he's UTTERLY FASCINATED with his plunger. Which he just may be. I don't know, he's Steve.
(Yes the squiggle on his nameplate is Dalek for "Steve." I actually kind of wanted to name him Derf, which would also be a reference to Short Circuit, [KO, Derf!] but I think considering Derpy Hooves came about later it's good that my friend already had a name for him.)
