Capri Quadrumani   by Kylogram
I've been meaning to do something mopey for Valentines Day, but my art hasn't been working, so I just started scribbling until I had something worth painting. This is the result.

My four armed goat beast. I think he needs a proper name, but I have not one for him.

You cannot have him, but he does not mind admirers!

Love the volume of the hair, and that shadow of his arm on it. Small details like that are the best.

He is a giant fluffball.

And I've been trying to work on my cast shadows again, it's been a while since I did something with such strong lighting.

It's so easy to forget about cast shadows too, but with it there, it adds so much more believability.

Also I wonder what this critter looks like under all that. :P

Heavy and thick, but not fat. Lots of dense muscle.

This guy is freaking awesome. :D I adore the lighting and colour choices and the scraggly looking lines of the hair.

He looks like a simon.... But in all seriousness it's great to see him fleshed out more, absolutely great sense of light and mass

A simon???

Glad you like him!
Oolong   March 1, 2012 - 10:54AM
Yes his name looks like it would be Simon. Or named after some star or something along those lines

Oh goodness, I love the thick paintstrokes you used for the fur, they are so effective!

I love thick paintstrokes, for everything.
